Required materials

• wooden decoupage clothespins
• beautiful paper
• decoupage brush
• decoupage glue
• ink
• a small sponge
• ribbon (optional)
• scissors

How is it done?

When you cut the paper, ensure that the dimensions of the cut piece are smaller than the dimensions of the side of the clip. If you wish, you can cut two pieces to decorate both sides.

1. First, take the decoupage brush and apply a very thin layer of glue, then adjust the paper to your liking. Go over the glue once more, but this time, do not add any more, just use what’s left on the brush from the previous application. The idea is to remove any bubbles that form.
2. Wait a few minutes, then dip the tip of the sponge into the ink or acrylic paint, whichever you’re using. The next step is to touch the sponge to a sheet of plain paper to absorb some of the excess ink.
3. Touch the sponge to the ends of the clip to create an ombre effect.
4. Finally, apply another thin layer of glue to seal everything well. After it dries, you can add a ribbon or other decoration of your choice.
